Room to grieve honestly
There is no right way to grieve. We make space for all of it, including the feelings you think you should not have.
A steady place to carry what you have lost
Grief does not follow a schedule, and it does not look the same for everyone. Whether you are mourning a death, a relationship, your health, or a life you expected to have, therapy gives you room to grieve honestly and slowly find your footing again.
How We Help
There is no right way to grieve. We make space for all of it, including the feelings you think you should not have.
We help you find ways to remember and carry your loss that feel meaningful, rather than trying to simply move on.
Over time, we support you in reconnecting with daily life, relationships, and small sources of meaning at your own speed.
Understanding It
Grief is the natural response to losing something that mattered. It can follow a death, but also the end of a relationship, a diagnosis, a miscarriage, a move, or the loss of a future you were counting on. Whatever the source, grief tends to arrive in waves, and it rarely follows the tidy stages people expect.
One of the hardest parts is how lonely it can feel. The world keeps moving, casseroles stop arriving, and well-meaning people start asking if you are doing better. Meanwhile, your loss is still with you every day. Grief counselling gives you one place where you do not have to protect anyone from how you really feel.
Virtual grief counselling across Ontario means this support is available wherever you are, including on the days when leaving the house feels like too much. You can talk from the couch, with tea, with tissues, with your dog beside you.
Approaches We Use
Space to tell the story of your loss as many times as you need, with someone who will not rush you toward closure.
Gentle exploration of how to carry your person, or your loss, into the life that comes next.
Ways to stay connected to someone who has died through memory, ritual, and the values they passed to you.
Practical plans for anniversaries, holidays, and the ordinary Tuesdays that somehow hurt the most.
Virtual Sessions
Sessions run about 50 minutes over secure video, anywhere in Ontario. Grief can be unpredictable, so online sessions offer real flexibility: you can book around the days you feel strongest, and on harder days you only need to make it to your own couch. Many clients keep a blanket, photos, or a pet close by, and that is completely welcome here.
Common Questions
There is no normal timeline. Grief usually softens and changes shape over time rather than ending. Counselling helps you carry it in a way that leaves room for the rest of your life.
Neither. Some people reach out in the first weeks. Others come years later when a loss still feels heavy. Whenever you are ready is the right time.
Yes. The end of a relationship, a change in health, infertility, or losing a job or home can all bring real grief. Your loss does not need to look a certain way to deserve support.
Then you cry the whole session, and that is fine. There is no way to do this wrong, and your therapist is comfortable sitting with whatever shows up.
No. Our approach is not about getting over a loss. It is about finding a way to carry it that honours what you loved while letting your own life keep growing.

Your first session is simply a place to talk about where you are right now. You can share as much or as little about your loss as you like. There is no timeline and no expectation to be further along than you are.
